Near Xiamen in China, a Chinese company is undertaking the construction of a residential replica of the little tourist village of Cadaquès on the Costa Brava. Through the character of Tingting, whom we follow both in China and in Catalonia, the film delves into the question of what constitutes the essence of a village and of a people, and what can or cannot be exported when appearances are replicated.

Lluís Galter was born in Figueres (Girona) in 1983. He holds a degree in Audiovisual Communication from Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona.
His first feature film "Caracremada" co-produced by Passos Llargs, Mallerich Films - Paco Poch and Cromosoma had its World Premiere at the 67th Venice Festival (Orizzonti section) and screened at international festivals such as San Sebastian, Thessalonika, Cuenca, New York, Gothenburg, Linz, St. Petersburg, St. Petersburg, St. Petersburg, St. Petersburg, St. John's, New York. Petersburg, Munich...
"Caracremada" also received the prestigious RTVE Sant Jordi Award for Best First Film 2011.
